Today, we are proud to announce that we are the first courier company ever to provide insurance coverage for not only warehouse staff (Hub Heroes), full-time drivers but also part-time drivers (Pgeon Flex). This newly launched insurance coverage call Pgeon Care+, which is an extension to the brand’s existing coverage for full-time delivery riders, Pgeon Care. 💪
The intention of launching this programme is to ensure our drivers stay protected on the road and that no employee is left behind. As it stands now, about 1,000+ drivers are covered by this insurance.
WHY PGEON CARE+ ?
When the new norm began, it altered the way people live, work, study, and interact. At the same time, with the lockdowns implemented by our government, the majority of us have become accustomed to the flexibility and convenience that comes from the “online shopping lifestyle”. There is no doubt that all Malaysians enjoy the ease of having both essential and non-essential goods delivered to their doorsteps. Thus, as the pandemic continues, the demand for delivery services has increased drastically.
We believe that all of our drivers need to be equally protected because they have become one of the most vulnerable members of society, risking their personal health to keep the economy going and the rest of us safe. Hence, Pgeon Care+ is implemented to ensure all Pgeon’s drivers get protected and so that they could have a peace of mind when on duty. ⚔️
Pgeon Care+ covers part-time and full-time delivery drivers along with our warehouse staff – Hub Heroes, with 24/7 nationwide coverage. With Pgeon Care+, Pgeon drivers will be allowed to claim RM10,000 for medical expenses, up to a total of RM 9,000 for the cumulative daily hospital income and up to RM 1,000 for their smart devices.
Indeed, our Abang Pgeon is the backbone of our company and acts as a key role in delivering happiness and love to our Pgeonites, thus they deserve the finest protection for all of their efforts and time. 🥰
